Vinco Innovation AS is announcing the start of the “Breakthrough to Scale – Advanced Process Mentoring for Climate Innovators” project. Supported by the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021, under the SME Growth Program Romania, the project bears reference number 2022/360172. Vinco Innovation partners with Romanian project leader Luminspino, to bring this initiative to life.
Scheduled to proceed from June 2023 to April 2024, the project carries a total value of 210 615 euros, with the grant accounting for 89.97% of the funding. Its primary objective is to stimulate the business sector by enhancing the competitiveness of Romanian SMEs engaged in climate innovation. Particular emphasis will be provided to women-led businesses which will account at least 50% of the selected SMEs.
Barbara Salopek, the CEO and founder of Vinco Innovation, expressed her enthusiasm for this initiative, stating:
“This project marks an important step in our mission to drive climate innovation and empower women-led businesses. We are excited to be part of this transformative journey, and we believe it will lead to sustainable growth and positive change in the Romanian SME ecosystem.”
The project will include the following main activities:
- Designing a mentoring service package for the “Breakthrough to Scale” process
- Selecting and supporting 8 pilot SMEs through a national public call and the implementation of the mentoring package
- Organizing a study visit to Norway, offering valuable insights and best practices
- Conducting a study on the potential development of a financial instrument specifically tailored to support climate innovation, with a focus on nature-based solutions.
